The Outback Bowie — Hand-Forged Heritage
The Outback Bowie — Hand-Forged Heritage
This is a hand-forged take-down Bowie with a 33cm clip-point blade in 5160 high-carbon steel, through-hardened to 58-59 HRC for consistent strength from spine to edge. The grind runs flat to convex, giving you a geometry that bites deep on the chop, slices clean when you need finesse, and resists chipping under hard use. Engineered as a true take-down, it disassembles via an internal threaded pommel concealed within the handle — no external nuts or exposed hardware to break the lines or snag in use, yet fully serviceable when needed. Up front, a solid bronze guard and collar are forged and hand-patinaed, aging with character and warming to your grip. The handle is Australian Western Myall, an incredibly dense and stable native timber with deep chocolate grain threaded with gold highlights — tough, refined, and it only gets richer with time. Balanced to move with authority yet stay controlled in the hand, this Bowie is built to work, made to service, and designed to be handed down.
Features a traditional Spanish notch at the ricasso, historically used to catch an opponent’s blade or to start a draw cut, and today mark a classic Bowie craftsmanship.
