Here for sale: a beautiful batch of three Anglo-Saxon style blades — perfect for reenactment, collectors, and knife makers. All forged from 5160 spring steel with selective heat treatment. Details below; select the number on the blade you want to buy.
Batch details
Steel: San Mai construction (random Damascus steel edge and steel wire for the sides)
Hardness: approximately HRC 57–58
Blade edge length: approximately 8–9 cm
Thickness: around 5–6 mm (varies per blade)
Heat treatment: selective (edge-focused) for balanced toughness and edge retention
Intended use: reenactment, historical reproduction, collector pieces, or as blanks for knife makers
Available blades
Blade #1 — Slightly fuller profile, balanced point, good for historically accurate Anglo-Saxon knives. Thickness ~5 mm, edge ~8.5 cm.
Blade #2 — Broader cutting face, robust spine for heavy use, great for a larger utility or combat-style knife. Thickness ~6 mm, edge ~9 cm.
Condition and finish
Forged, ground, and selectively heat treated; ready for final profiling, handle scales, and final sharpening.
Blades are sold as blanks (no handles, guards, or sheaths included).
Each piece is inspected for structural integrity and heat-treatment consistency.
Ordering
To purchase, simply reply with the blade number you want (1, 2, or 3).
Price and shipping details provided upon selection.
Multiple purchases: indicate quantities and blade numbers.
Notes
Measurements are approximate due to hand forging; slight variances are normal
If you need blade dimensions in millimeters or want photos of a specific blade before purchase, tell me which number and I’ll send details.
Made with care by FRANCESCATO BLADESMITH — friendly, handmade quality for reenactors, collectors, and makers.
